Jean and Jack Loew first came to Puerto Morelos in 1974 and had planned to go some place
different every year for their winter vacation. They fell in love with the small town atmosphere
and the friendly people and never went anyplace else. In 1990 they opened Villas Shanti and never
looked back.
Jean has been studying and teaching Yoga for over twenty years, and is also a certified Shiatsu therapist, having graduated and also taught at the Ohashi Institute in New York City. |

Jack is a retired math teacher from Long Island, N.Y. and has refereed college Lacrosse and high
school football and soccer. He is a 1958 graduate of Springfield College.
Jon Mastromarino, Jr. (Jonny) is the manager of Villas Shanti, and lives in Puerto Morelos full-time. He studied acting and was a professional singer in NYC before settling in Puerto Morelos. The rapport of this trio will make you feel very loved and welcomed as one of the family. | |
